Technology Use and Care Agreement
Supporting responsible technology use, proper Chromebook care, and optional device protection for students and families.
At Vision Academy Charter School, we equip every student with a Chromebook to support learning in and out of the classroom. This 1:1 technology program helps students build digital skills, stay engaged, and succeed in a technology-driven world.
This agreement outlines how students should use Chromebooks responsibly and safely, including care expectations, repair steps, and family responsibilities. By reviewing and submitting the agreement, families commit to supporting responsible technology use.
Together, we can empower students to become confident, capable digital citizens.
Student Technology Expectations
Responsible Use
- Use the Chromebook for school-related learning activities.
- Follow teacher and school instructions for device use.
- Use school technology safely, respectfully, and appropriately.
- Keep login information private and secure.
Device Care
- Handle the Chromebook and charger carefully.
- Keep food and drinks away from the device.
- Do not remove keys, labels, cases, or school identification tags.
- Report damage or technical problems immediately.
Family Responsibilities
- Support proper care of the assigned Chromebook and charger.
- Review school technology expectations with your child.
- Return the Chromebook and charger when requested by the school.
- Understand that repair or replacement fees may apply for damage or loss.
Agreement Information
- Each student must have a completed agreement on file.
- The agreement applies to the assigned student device and charger.
- Parents/guardians must complete the form below.
- Questions may be directed to the school office or IT department.
Optional Device Protection Plan
Vision Academy Charter School is offering an optional Device Protection Plan to help families cover unexpected repair or replacement costs for student-issued computers and chargers during the school year.
✔ What’s Covered
- Accidental damage to the student’s assigned computer
- Damaged or non-working charger replacement
- Device-related repair needs during the school year
⚠ Without Coverage
- Families will be responsible for repair costs.
- Families will be responsible for charger replacement costs.
- Replacement fees will apply for lost or damaged items.
Important Information
- This plan is optional but highly recommended.
- The cost is $30 per student for the entire school year.
- Coverage applies only to the device and charger assigned to the student.
- Each student must be enrolled separately.
